Anna and Jonathan Hoomes are based in the Birmingham, Alabama area, where they met and married in 2007. Together, they formed Frame Photography and began photographing weddings professionally in the fall of 2011.
Jonathan is a graphic artist by trade. His interest in photography began when he purchased his first SLR camera and kit lens for a trip to the Utah desert in 2007. Since then, his love for photography has led him throughout the country and his photos have been published in magazines both nationally and internationally.
Anna is an elementary school counselor by day. Her passion for photography began with a trip to Europe after college graduation, where she fell in love with architecture. Her eye for details allows her to catch moments others may walk by.
Anna and Jonathan’s love for photography has evolved into a natural desire to share their passion for beautiful images with you. They want to capture the moments of your life.
Anna and Jonathan use only professional-grade photography equipment, mostly manufactured by Canon. Their EOS 5D Mark II camera shoots at a whopping 21 megapixels and their EOS 60D camera can take over five pictures per second, ensuring that no stolen glance goes unrecorded. Lenses ranging from 10mm (super wide-angle) to 300mm (telephoto zoom) and an incredibly sharp macro allow for artistic creativity and unique perspectives. A wide assortment of flashes, radio remote triggers, lighting accessories and a backup digital SLR camera round out some of the other goodies in their camera bags. Post-production and photo editing is done in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, which Jonathan has been using for over ten years.
Of course, the most important element of a good photograph is the person behind the camera. The quality of a camera or lens has very little to do with the quality of images it can produce. Compelling photographs come from inspiration.
